The Vegetarian Vampire Ultimate Theory

As I play Midnight Sun the latest of the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer for the first time I think about a lot of ideas, but one in particular is what I will be discussing for this post.

I like to call it my vegetarian vampire theory. So among the great vampires who are vegetarian the only I can really think of are those in Twilight and Stefan in Vampire Diaries, I came up with a concept that I don’t quite understand why it isn’t used more. Why aren’t vegetarian vampires thinking about being farmers? Yes, you may find this to be a weird concept. No, I haven’t worked out every detail so bear with me.

If vegetarian vampires aka vampires that only eat animal blood were farmers they wouldn’t have to kill anything at all ever. This is my I live in a perfect world where nothing ever has to die theory. Yes, I know this is far fetched but also personally I feel like a great idea since I’m one of those people who definitely favors animals over people.

Some math for you to ponder upon: according to google vampires need about 9 liters of blood daily to sustain life. After reading Twilight and watching Vampire Diaries as well as its spin-offs, one could assume it may even be less than this but why not round up. Cows have roughly about 37 liters of blood, one could assume that losing 10% of blood would not generally affect the cow. So 3.7 liter, for one cow. Y’all with me? Say a vampire farmer has 20 cows, that is 74 liters in a day. Therefore, if you assume a cow can replenish its blood in a week a vampire can sustain its needs for a week and still have 10 liters left over for surplus. Assuming they only have the 20 cows but why have just cows when you can have an array of farm animals, keep your appearance as a farmer and maintain your supply giving your animals all longer recoup times.

That my friends is the ultimate vegetarian vampire theory.
